How to scale curve segments individually? Modeling

Blender is so https://www.jungli-win.nl/ advanced in some directions, in some lacks the basic stuff. So when the curve is bezier is there any other trick? It is possible in blender, but thought it is just one shortcut or button (maybe it is). If that’s the case, you can temporarily convert them into objects and scale in edge mode with individual origins pivot. The percentage of control points to remove. Includes handle information during the conversion process.

Delete¶

Like other elements in Blender, control points can be moved, rotated, or scaled as described inBasic Transformations. Here I just wanted quickly flatten all segments on their Y axis, sometimes I need flatten the segments their pivots are in different heights Z axis but keep their original Z positions. I am native in other 3D sofware, still learning, love blender every day more, just sometimes get stuck and expecting the same things that I silly think are basic. It is basic behaviour I would expect from any 3d software, so it is not possible in blender?

Curve¶

This tool can only decimate Bézier curves. Converts the spline to a NURBS type. Remember that when a 2D curve is closed, it creates a renderable flat face. This means thatAlt-C may actually join two curves instead of closing a single curve! This action only works on the original starting control point or the last control point added.Deleting a segment(s) does not change how the action applies;it still operates only on the starting and last control points. Is the same Bézier curve open and closed.
Note, if there is only one curve in a Curve object,This operation will create a new Curve object with no control points. Separates curve objects that are made of multiple distinct curves into their own objects. Like other objects, curves have textures spaces which can beedited.

I would like to scale the curve segments using their pivot points I’m certainly not competent to say definitively what can and can’t be done in Blender.That said, I find it hard to imagine what behavior you expect for curves that aren’t simple segments. Thanks Picto, this is not real case, it is just theoretical modeling question, it should be working for all kind of curves and segments.
